By providing the WMS solution as a service, our customers no longer pay for “owning” software, instead they only pay to use it. Rather than making an expensive investment in new software, our customers pay a monthly fee, at a price that is reasonable.
Other benefits to using a hosted application are plentiful, for example, free upgrades are introduced quickly and painlessly, avoiding additional software purchase requirements and compatibility issues. Approved users can access winery information anywhere in the world that they can access the internet. The ability to provide our customers immediate access to the latest technology is unparalleled in the Wine Industry today.
Custom Crush
Because Custom Crush facilities and their clients are able to access Wine Management Systems Wine Production System on the Internet any time and any place, we have a unique advantage over traditional local server based systems. Custom Crush clients are able to view information about their wine and vessels from anywhere. Because the look and feel of our system is configurable, the client interface can look similar to the screens that the Custom Crush supplier uses or we can also make it look like the clients site. We also are able to provide AP (Alternating Premise) customers access to the same information as the Custom Crush client as well as creating the TTB and FDA Compliance Reports for each entity. We also have an advanced Contract Billing Management Module that makes sure that all services provided by the Custom Crush facility are correctly billed to each client and a complete invoice is created automatically.
Background
WMS was founded in 2006 to address the glaring needs of the small to mid size wine producer. At the time there were no affordable software applications available that could assist in tracking every critical activity that occurs in the winery business cycle. Patrick Oates, a former IT executive, recognized the opportunity to leverage the latest technology and software trends to offer smaller wineries the same set of solutions that were only affordable to large wine companies at that time. By partnering with leading software companies in addition to working closely with wine industry leaders in production, sales and finance, WMS was created and a new benchmark was set for management technology in the wine industry.
